Typically we perform at Christmas, Easter and early summer.ĭuring the festive season you may find a few of us singing carols for the residents of care homes in the Whickham area, Christmas fairs or local hospitals. The highlights of our year are the concerts we perform in the local area. Since the back room in pubs are no longer big enough, we meet on a Tuesday night at Whickham School between 7:30 pm and 9:00 pm for rehearsals. You can take them as many times as you like until you feel confident enough to do the real tests. We sing a wide variety of songs popular tracks from decades past to popular numbers from the present day songs from films and even a couple of classical numbers we have even sung in Latin! All of our songs are arranged by our exceptional Musical Director, Mark Deeks.īefore each term, choir members are asked to suggest songs to sing however we allow Mark to have the final decision. Take Note Colorado’s mission is to provide access to student-centered, culturally-relevant music instruction and instruments by connecting, convening, and catalyzing. It is our love of singing and good company binds us together. We are a choir who place fun and community at the centre of what we do, so we try not to take ourselves too seriously (just check out our photos and video page).
